Guide to Labradoodle Colors

Labradoodle colors can be very confusing, so I am creating a guide to help you accurately describe what you are looking for.  The first and most important thing to know is that the color names are divided into two basic groups.  One group of color names indicate that the dog has a black nose, while the other group of color names indicate a rose/ brown/ chocolate/ or liver colored nose.

Dogs with a black nose have dark brown eyes and black pigment around their eyes (looks a bit like eyeliner), lips, and pads on their feet. Those with lighter liver or rose colored pigment will have lighter eyes and a more pink look around their eyes, lips, and pads of their feet.  I get lots of requests for light eyes, so if that is important to you, you probably want to request a dog with a rose (chocolate pigmented) nose.
